What is Spotlight?

A music discovery app for iPhone. Tap the Aura and it lands on one artist or song you don't know yet, with a preview and the reason it's for you.

Is it free?

Yes. Discovery is free for everyone and always will be, and no one can pay to be picked.

Where does the music come from?

Previews come from Apple Music. To hear a whole song, “Listen in full” opens it in Apple Music or Spotify.

Do I need an account?

No. Spotlight works as a guest, with everything kept on your phone.

How do I delete my data?

Open Profile, go to Privacy and choose Delete my data (or Delete account if you're signed in). It deletes everything right away. See the privacy policy for details.

Can artists pay to be picked?

No. Nobody can pay to appear in a Spotlight, Drift or Crate, not artists and not labels. What you find is never an ad.

Is Random really random?

Yes. Random ignores your taste, your settings and your filters, and it says so on the result.

When does it come out?

Spotlight is being built now. This page will link to the App Store as soon as it's out.

Accessibility

We aim for Spotlight and this site to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at level AA, including VoiceOver labels, readable contrast and a Reduce motion setting. If something gets in your way, email support@findwithspotlight.app and we'll fix it.
